That's Pasta Zanmai at 1 Utama, next to Carl's Junior. The front portion is a shop selling Japanese foodstuff, while the back portion is the restaurant. Liang had the tempura thing while I had the salmon thing. I ordered the set, which comes with a salad and miso soup, RM25 if I remember correctly. Ala carte is around RM22. We ordered a side of potato salad (in pix). The food is nice, something different. Unfortunately, I'm apparently allergic to some ingredients used because my lips were red and itchy after that meal. Now I have to apply some cream that the doc prescribed.
Last week was really crazy. My aunt fell ill and was admitted into hospital. Visited her on Friday night, only went to sleep at 1am. Was almost late for the forum on Saturday, had to be there by 7.30am and I was late. Not enough sleep, and no food until 2pm. Some of us had lunch at Aoyama, The Green Room. The set lunch is good! We all had the combination set which was only RM28 for cawanmushi, soba noodles, miso soup, sashimi, sushi and potato salad. Finally found my black opaque tights! It was a mad rush after that, picking up my spectacles at Atria and collecting the cupcakes at Uptown. Then our maid helped me dig through the store room for BBQ skewers. Hurriedly washed them and zoomed over to Chew's BBQ birthday makan.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHEWBAKA! The food was yummy but I was feeling a bit ill already by then =/
Woke up on Sunday with a bad throat. Visited my aunt again before collecting another cake for my godma. Lepak a bit with my godparents at Seapark before going home. Sneaked off to Subang Parade to buy the nice handbag for mom, which she is happily totting all over the place. We all refused to spend stupid amounts of money for Mother's Day set dinners and to rush with the crowds, and instead had dinner at Tanjung. Went home to pig out on the cupcakes! Then I passed out and woke up Monday morning with a screaming throat.
Monday and Tuesday was spent on medical leave. Was mostly a blur, stoned from the medication. Not much appetite lately.
*gasp how can that be* Went back to work yesterday, packed up all the stuff as we're moving office today. Tomorrow will be on leave in lieu of Wesak Day, back to work on Monday. Good long weekend to recover.
