i have friggin cheilitis

I am so bloody IRRITATED by this stupid condition! Been to the doctor twice already. He prescribed me steroids (Cutivate) and it went off...then it came back again with a vengeance!!! Bah! On the second visit, he said not to overuse the steroid (not supposed to use for more than a week, only apply once a day...I think I used it for close to a month T_T) and prescribed me some ointment instead (Protopic). It cleared up again. And came back again T_T

So I did a little research online on Lip Eczema, also known as Cheilitis. And found some interesting stuff. Below is an excerpt I found on Ezine @rticles.

Eczema Can Cause Your Lips To Swell
by: Julie Wellsworth

There are a number of uncomfortable and embarrassing symptoms that affect sufferers of eczema. Many of the sufferers claim that swollen lips cause more discomfort and embarrassment than any of the other symptoms put together. Swollen lips don’t just look bad, they can also hinder the speech and possibly even limit what the person can eat (hmm, mine not so serious).

The form of eczema that affects the lips is known as cheilitis. This causes roughness to the lips and can make them very sensitive, causing them to itch (yup). Contrary to popular belief, this type of eczema is by no means contagious (oh thank the lord!).

For most people this eczema starts off with just a few rough patches on both of their lips, sometimes they are difficult to see, however the sufferer is perfectly aware of them because they are painful to the touch (yup, had the patches but not painful, just itchy). These rough patches are not normally located inside the mouth, normally they are located where the lip joins onto the normal skin of the face (yup, damn irritating, have to slather lip balm outside of the lips and look like a retard who couldn't apply her lip balm properly). The swollen lips sometimes come hand in hand with red patches and dryness of other parts of skin (only on the lips for me, thank God).

The affected areas should be moisturized on a frequent basis, sometimes the use of steroid creams could be considered. Desonoid is one such cream that is approved for use on the lips and face.

Good old Vaseline can be used to relieve the sufferer of the symptoms of extreme dryness. Lip balms containing help oils are believed to be especially beneficial to sufferers, and shea butter lip balms can also provide some much needed relief (okie dokie, will try it out).

Everybody is different, so what works for one person may not work for you. You may have to experiment with a number of different lip balms before you find the one that works for you. As a general rule of thumb however you should steer clear of any lip balms that contain fragrances as these can dry out your lips (does this mean I can't wear any of my lippies and glosses anymore T_T).

Chemicals contained in toothpaste or mouthwash can be a contributing factor to eczema, and so this should be considered (har...is Darlie safe?).

If the condition doesn’t clear up by using over the counter medications then you should defiantly go to see your doctor or dermatologist. It’s a good idea to get to the root of the problem, and so you could consider having an allergy test done to find out what you are allergic to (I'm like going backwards, from doc to pharmacy sheesh).

You can also find more information at nodular eczema causes and treat eczema.

EczemaCureTreatment.com is a comprehensive resource to inform individuals suffering from ezcema about symptoms, prevention and treatment options.

During my research, I also stumbled across this girl's blog and her cure for lip eczema.
Click --> http://qiqichan.blogspot.com/2007/11/cure-for-my-lip-eczema.html

I laughed out loud when I read one of the comments, below is an excerpt:

"I need some relief and now. I am about to rip my top lip off my face!!! I have had this something for about 9 months and in the past month it has gotten increasingly worse and is to the point of stinging, some itching, swelling and I went to my internal medicine doctor because my dermatologist could not get me in until May. I cannot wait till May..."

It was posted by Danette Montgomery. I feel your pain. I feel like ripping off my top lip right about now T_T

I'm going to the pharmacy today to get the Vaseline therapy she recommended. I hope it works for me T_T

See you, little one.

It's nice to have you around everytime.
watching you cycle your wheel
It's been 2 year plus since we bought you.
I guess it's time to say goodbye.
Take care.

God, if there is one thing you could do for me,
I would wish that You would let him cycle again up there and help me take care of him.
Thank you.

Rest In Peace, Little one. Will always love you.

Random

It is so heartbreaking to watch your pet getting old. Lately Kuaci's left eye couldn't open as big as it used to be. I'm pretty sure it's not cataract. He's 2 years old already =( I missed Kuaci when I first bought him when he was really super hyper.

He would:-

1) Run around around the cage like a bajillion times.

2) Cycle the wheel! You couldn't find a hamster that could 'think out of the box'. He's definitely a special one.

3) Peel all the kuaciS in his bowl and put them at a corner of the cage so that I would restock more kuacis for him. That's how yau kui he is.

4) Stop running the wheel and stare at me when I got home from work. When I look at him, he will jeling and continue cycling. Lansi!

5) Climb around the cage like he's monkey. There was one time when I open the cage and he started to climb up. He fell down on his back and stared at you with his muka kesian so that you would pick him up. Cipet.

I'm lazy to say everything he did. You can get the rough idea la how active he was.

Why would anyone wants to keep a pet when he/she knows it will die one day?
I don't know the answer. Do tell me if you know.

p/s: I love you, little one.

This is Anfield!

I was not a fan of football until Ah Yang influence me in watching last 3-4 years ago. I've watched most of the football teams played with him and realised the one I enjoyed most was Liverpool. I cannot but to agree that they have the best fans in the world =D. I went to Breakers in Hartamas and the places was crowded with Liverpool fans. The atmosphere was totally different from watching at home or mamak. Sweet victory against Manchester United and was a good game. I have added a Liverpool jersey in my wish list. Should have gotten a jersey when Ken asked me to last time. *regrets*

You'll never walk alone. Never.

When you walk through a storm
hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

my weekend

The past weekend was jam packed. Friday night was spent celebrating Daniel’s 24th with a dinner at Thai Corner, Taipan. Good food with good company and a very yummy moist chocolate cake baked specially by his girlfriend, Sookie. Woman, you should quit your job and open a bakery. I could get used to eating a slice of heaven every day, hehe. After that the whole gang moved over to Sunway Pyramid. Wanted to watch a late night movie, but there was nothing good on the big screen. Spent the night at the arcade where Daniel showed his moves on the DDR and the Para Para Paradise; everyone, including strangers, was applauding him! I played the Japanese drum game with Liang and the vacuum game with Hui Ling. Then I went home, went online for a bit and just before hitting the sack at 2 something in the a.m., my brother yells “where’s Jovi?!” And so a search party comprising myself, my brother and my dad began, with us walking up and down the road searching for a fluffy white thing. It’s damn hard to find your missing dog when you can’t call out his name. 2 bloody am in the morning! Stupid dog. My dad found him at the road behind, sniffing around a pile of garbage. He had the cheek to wag his tail when he saw me. I had to clean him up and give him a massive spanking and lecture which he ignored.

On Saturday morning, I dragged myself out of bed and brought Jovi to the vet for his booster jab and heartworm test. The grumpy fella was too nervous, his adrenaline pumping so hard it was difficult to get enough blood for the test. The vet had to draw blood from both front legs. On the second draw, he got so agitated, squirming and twisting the needle. Poor fella cried and looked at me with pitiful brown eyes, peeking out above the tiniest muzzle ever. Managed to calm him enough to draw blood for the lab test. The heartworm test turned out negative, thank God. Since he’s so old, we’re starting him on heartworm prevention. That will be RM144 per year for an annual jab to be given precisely on the same date every year. His lab test results will be out today; please please PLEASE don’t let him have heart disease. The vet said his lungs are very clear but he has a tiny murmur in his heart. It could be early cardiac problems. Please God don’t let that be >.<

After that I sent him home, whereupon he puked. He puked again yesterday. It must be him reacting to all the rubbish he ate. He spent the weekend being moody, nursing the effects of the booster jab. Gave him a treat to cheer him up, but he still merajuk this morning. Sheesh.

Anyway, after the vet, I met up with Kelly for lunch at pork mee in SS15, after which we spent an hour plus shopping at Cat’s Whiskers. It’s amazing how the same dress, which on me looks like a casual relaxed summery dress, can make Kelly look like seriously hot stuff. On her it’s shorter, tighter, and add some good cleavage on top of that…are you imagining it yet, you dirty-minded people?! So anyway, we finished our shopping and headed over to Sunway Pyramid where Kelly had her virgin manicure experience at JJ Nail Salon.

This is so far, my best manicure experience. Although I have to disclaim, that it’s only the third time in my entire life. The place is on LG1 of the new wing, next to Adonis and same floor as Sakae Sushi. It is nice, clean and spacious. I did the manicure and pedicure for RM86, which came with a free paraffin wax hand treatment worth RM30. Kelly had the manicure alone for RM38, for which she paid RM34 after the 10% discount from Jusco Card. The girls there are very good, it turned out nice and smooth, and doesn’t hurt when they clean your cuticles. The best part of all is the Ogawa massage chairs which you sit on if you’re doing pedicure. I dunno if this is normal practice elsewhere, but they are smart enough to let you wear your sandals/slippers after scrubbing and before painting so that you don’t need to gingerly slide them on after. The girl also fixed my in-grown toenails *ouch*.

After that was dinner with the family at Nan King, Taipan. Bumped into Sookie and Daniel there, as well as Eve with her mom and sis. Later on met up again at the hilly padang in USJ 2 to light candles and burn lanterns. My dad’s car battery went flat and they got stranded after dropping me off. Tried to jump start with Chew’s car, but to no avail. Left the car there overnight and my brother sent them home. So the gila Subang gang spent the night lighting candles, putting up lanterns, burning lanterns, taking silly photos, drinking Chivas and wine, toasting Twisties while Liang went footie watching. Met Suet-Li and Michelle after so long. Liang joined us later and the remaining gang went walking around the padang with lanterns, singing patriotic songs (including SMK Seafield song lol). After that was drinks and burger at Carlos 1, then home at 2am.

Sunday was spent being lazy. Had lunch at home, scrounged around for jewelry to match my dress. Went over to Liang’s place to poke the hamster and watch a Jay Chou movie titled Secret. My brother said it’s nice and emo, but I found it largely retarded with a tiny bit of romance. What a stupid ending. After that fell asleep, woke up late for Wei Yee’s wedding *eeps*. Rushed for the wedding, made it in time to finish the first course. Congratulations Wei Yee and hubby! Met Cindy after so many years. Took photos with all the Seafieldans, with ex teachers and the beautiful couple. Was a simple and sweet affair. I’m gonna dig up some old photos, see if I can find our old schoolgirl photos hehe.

And that was my weekend =)

And I've yet to put up photos from the Merdeka BBQ. Heh.

They even have the cookies in Limited Edition Strawberry Flavour, as well as some kinda bust enhancing pills. Check it: Miracles of F Cup Cookie

I wonder if your boobs get even bigger than F cup if you go on consuming it? Do they deflate if you stop eating it? Do you have to keep eating it to keep it at that size?

Weird Japanese inventions.

Unfortunately, my brain was too sizzled (and so was everyone else's thanks to Wernie) and I lost one pressie, which was a pair of Ziziano earrings from my ex-colleagues Mingu, Erik, Allie, Vic and RP :( I'm sososossososososo sorry T_T my mission to have 100 pairs of earrings have been thwarted!

Also lost my black eyeliner, which must have fallen out of my bag that night :(

But everything else was great. Thank you!
