Last week so super duper busy and tiring. Almost half the kids in the Taska got chicken pox so I managed to get a day or two off. It is extremely tiring to keep a bunch of 1-4 year olds entertained. It is even more tiring trying to keep them from biting and scratching and beating each other up. -_-

Having said that, I do enjoy spending time with them (as long as it's not more than my stipulated 8am - 1pm). Some of them who called me mama finally learnt to call me teacher instead. The cute ones make your heart melt, especially when they are so random. Sometimes they just throw themselves at you full force and wrap their tiny selves around your legs.

Joseph aka Boss loves to cuddle and sit on my lap to watch Barney. He's aptly named the boss because his family is frrrrrrrreaking rich and he always comes late to taska. I don't really like Haan aka Si Gemuk although he is possibly the cutest boy in the taska because he bites. And he's choosy about who carries him or touches him or cuddles him. Pfft.

My favourite is Jeff. Half hainanese, he speaks a smattering of hokkien, mandarin and english. His current favourite song is "ke ren lai". His favourite word is "bo?" *hokkien for no, not bobo yiyang* He loves Barney and he loves to be carried upside down. And it's his birthday come Labour Day. He currently sports penan hair because his mom cut his hair lol.

Watching the kids eat really reminds me of Liang. 90% of them are potential animals. They eat so much...some of them have up to 3 helpings. One girl merajuk when the kakak didn't want to refill her bowl for the 4th time. I don't remember eating so much when I was young...except maybe when it came to my favourite food.

Good Charlotte! Not bad lah. I'm not exactly a fan of theirs so...meh. Enjoyed all the perfomances although One Buck Short was short on something *excuse the pun* maybe it just wasn't my type of music. Estranged and Jason Lo were really good. Good Charlotte did well, although that crap about wanting to move to Malaysia was really lame. Standing for 6 hours straight wasn't that great and I got a crick in me neck from staring at the screen for so long. Special thanks to Gary's brother's friends for allowing us to cut queue hehe. Aya's friend, Blake also joined us to cut queue later on muahaha.

I can't believe I actually endured that stupid 6 hours right till the end of the concert. Good Charlotte didn't even appear up until around 10.30pm. Squashed between smelly sweaty bodies not to mention TALL ONES WHO BLOCKED MY VIEW DAMNIT, I actually stood there throughout the entire freaking concert. I was surprised at myself, what with the tiny shred of patience left between b.o. polluted air and a maddening thirst which couldn't be quenched with RM5 drinks. And that stupid MTV thing they gave us to clap with which the people in front of us kept poking into me and Gary's eyes face nose chin whatthehell lah. -_-

At 2am I crawled into bed and passed out immediately, woke up 6 hours later to drag my sorry self to church. I spent half of sermon time forcing myself to keep awake bleh. And then I wasted RM100 on unprofessional make up and a lousy hairdo for prom. Bah. I will never again go to that salon in Taipan next to Di Kayu Nasi Kandar. Nah, ambik kao. Bad press for you hmph.

Prom was a really glamorous affair compared to the cozy one in Malacca. The place was really grand and glitzy. Unfortunately, the food sucked big time. I went home hungry. The saving grace was the performances and Kish, the very entertaining MC. Damn right he's better than Hannah Tan. I did have a good time drooling over many beautiful gowns. So pretty oh-la-la.

And now I'm getting sleepy. I think I'll leave it to Liang to update prom photos. Selamat malam!

wahey!

Happy Birthday Oon-Ee. Not sure if you read this place, but your tagboard disappeared! Have a good one and God bless =]

Today I got home to find an envelope addressed to me. The contents felt like postcards. Then I saw the MTV icon at the corner of the envelope. I showed my brother and we yelped together, me opening the envelope and him bouncing over my shoulder.

Then we danced around the kitchen, fanning ourselves with the tickets and laughing at the ceiling. My grandma was highly amused. Her grandkids have finally cracked it. Chee sen *Hakka for crazy*

Hehe.

On Easter Sunday, we had an early birthday celebration for the brother. Nothing big, just a cozy little family affair. He had an awesome durian yoghurt cake from CakeSense.

We then had dinner at a Korean restaurant because my brother wanted to eat Korean BBQ. We tried the shop above the fitness centre at Taipan USJ 10 but it was so crowded and the waiting list was super long. Must be a really good place to eat. Unfortunately, we were too hungry to wait so we went to the other less crowded place called Han Woo Ri. It's on the same block but different floor. You can access the restaurant through a lift near Red Chilli's.

The place is not bad lah. We had pork and beef on the BBQ, kim chi pork and tofu soup (served with rice), bi bim bop (rice, beef, vege, etc etc and egg served in a stone bowl, you have to mix it all together before eating), some fried noodles thingy and bul go gi. We ordered waaaaaaaaaay too much and were stuffed to the max. Sumore Korean meals always have loads of side dishes to accompany.

My favourite dish was the fried noodles. The bul go gi was good, the soup was very sweet and aromatic but we regretted ordering it because we were too full! Kim chi soup was as usual very good because I loooooove kim chi. Slurp!

We had a very late dinner so we were the last customers to leave the restaurant. The service was very good, the waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. I hate waiters/waitresses who do not know what they are doing, much less what's on the menu. Useless. Those are not waiters, those are people who makan gaji buta. -_-

Eh, I digress. Because we were the last ones to leave, they actually escorted us out to the lift. We exited the restaurant with waiters on either sides of us and they actually pressed the lift button for us too! ROFL. We tahan until the lift doors almost closed and burst out laughing.

The following Saturday, my brother threw a BBQ party to celebrate with his friends. I was on my feet the entire day, helping mom prepare the food. Damn kao tired. They liked my nachos and cream cheese pie though ^^. Found a nice brand of Papaya Salsa at Giant, very tasty. The chicken wings and thighs weren't marinated long enough, so it didn't taste that good. Not enough time to absorb the flavours. And my brother's friends are noobs at BBQ. Everything half cooked or burnt. -_-

Some of his friends pooled money and got him a brand spanking new subwoofer set. Eh, I'm not even sure what it's called. The whole woofer + speaker thingy.

Kids these days really have the moolah.

You know you've been spending too much time with kids when you dream that one of them is your son. Bugger.

lost masquerade

Prom!

The Lost Masquerade
was held on 30th March 2007 at The Legacy Hotel, Malacca. My photos are not so good because my camera is old and slow.

Arrival

I bought my dress from Warehouse at 1 Utama. 70% discount woohoo! Did my hair and make up at Starbizz, recommended by Aya. Bumped into her friend June who kindly passed me her member card. Thank God for that, because an RM80 bill was reduced to RM38 (phew!). Thank you June ^^. Jules said I looked different that night; I agree because I couldn't recognise myself in the mirror after the make up was done @_@ I think the make up artist had like, more than 5 different products on my eyes alone. She even used Anna Sui's tape to give me double eyelids. It looked nice, but she made the left side a bit longer than the right; it made my left eye itch SO BAD I wanted to scratch my eye out wargggh. Necklace was my mother's on her wedding day =]

One of the opening acts, PG165. I love the vocalist's voice.

Gary sat next to Liang and was molested the whole night through...

Hannah Tan, MC for the night.

Happy 17th Birthday poophead.

blessed easter

Happy Good Friday and Easter everyone!!!

The residue of my Brisbane life arrived last week in six huge cartons. 120kg of rubbish. I feel like I'm living in perpetual mess because I have yet to finish packing my stuff AT HOME and now my stuff FROM THERE are littered all over the house. Arrrrgh!

My graduation photos have arrived! Have to go pick them up at the post office. Kononnya professional photographer; the photos didn't look that nice. Or maybe it was the pixels on the website that marred it.

Been helping out at my mom's taska lately. I HATE KIDS. There are these two little boys who are my favourites but the rest are monsters. Some of them even bite. The worst bit is that we are not allowed to lay a finger on them; we have to find other ways to discipline them. But I sometimes secretly slap their asses or jentik their hands muahahahaha.

And prom was fun! The bunny looked beautiful that day =] Poor Gary was harassed by Liang the whole night. And and and Gary dance damn cute! hahahaha ^^ The food was yummy, the environment was nice and overall was an enjoyable night. Congratulations to Aya for a successful night. Photos in my camera will be up soon; in the meantime, clicky on the bunny's blog for many pretty pictures.

Went to watch "Hannibal Rising" last week because I had a voucher for free tickets. If you are a fan of the Hannibal Lecter series, you have to watch it. So beautifully gross and gory and intelligent. I love smart shows like these. Or you could watch it for Gong Li's cleavage lol. She was hawt in the movie.

I received a call from The Edge today. Interview tomorrow. My first serious job interview! Damn nervous now. Wish me luck.
