post Christmas blues

Merry Christmas!

My laptop went for surgery and received a new hard disk. All my old stuff GONE *sob* More than 3 years' worth of photographs, uni work, scribbles and notes and memories. My portfolio of uni work GONE. Of which I have no hard copy because my lecturers decided not to send it back to me. Memories of Australia entirely kapoof. Photos of family and friends and Jovi. College day photos. My artful flower photography. Emoticons collected over 3 years. Maplestory screenshots =( sigh...

On a brighter note, Penang was great! Ate too much but was too happy! Got a bloody bad sore throat after that, and almost drove a buggy into the sea haha =] Had a really nice relaxing time there...although it wasn't so relaxing on the road with crazy Penang drivers who drive between two lanes, changing lanes at will and just stopping on the road to double park (especially outside Him Heang). Will post up the photos soon as we upload them.

Had a good Christmas in Singapore. Spent a lot of time visiting and catching up with relatives there, and SHOPPING woot! Things I acquired include: 4 pairs of Charles & Keith *love!*, 2 dresses, 2 tops, a 100-pair earring holder *double love!*, some Christmas pressies, 1 handbag and some random stuff. Had a huge Christmas dinner with a huge turkey and lots of champers and wine yum...

3 days to 2008! It feels like yesterday...can't believe it's been almost a year since I left Australia and uni life. Feels like yesterday that I flew those many miles, that we started this blog, that I met you =] Wonder what 2008 will be like.

Things I want to do:
1. Visit Bon Odori for the first time ever
2. Climb Mt. Kinabalu
3. Exercise regularly and perhaps donate blood
4. Have a healthy bank account

Things I'm secretly fearing:
1. My grandma getting old
2. My dog getting old
3. Losing the passion to write
4. Losing passion for life

Things I'm grateful for:
1. Family and friends
2. A proper job and income
3. The occassional splurge
4. Favourite things like Chun Liang, Jovi and Kuaci

Things in need of attention:
1. Service my car
2. Spring clean my room

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HO! HO! HO?

Christmas time marks the end of the year and it is time to look forward for the new year which reminds me that I'm going to start working back at The Star. Gotta work my ass out to earn money so that I could pay for my Masters. Much goals to achieve for the coming year.

Few days before Christmas, I spent my time with family at PJ. Was able to see christmas decorations in few shopping malls and I personally think that Midvalley was one of the best.

And for Christmas Eve, Libra was definately a place to celebrate Christmas. Beers are reasonable and their music selection is good.

So how do you celebrate your Christmas?

Pancake!

If you are a pancake lover, be sure you head to Padding's House of Pancakes at Plaza Damas. They serve variety of yummy pancakes over there. I'm not sure where are the other branches located at. Heard from Eva's friend that this branch serve better pancakes. The food is good BUT their service sucks big time. They won't even look at you when they are taking order. Even mamak has better customer service. Luckily the food is good. If not, I won't even bother to go again.

don't steal my car please

I finally bought my steering lock. After all the car thefts and snatch thefts around the office area, we all have the same fear: that when we step out to drive home, our cars ain't there no more. Two cars have been stolen so far, and one attempted car theft. Handbags have been stolen and handphones snatched. All our own colleagues, and fellow tenants at the SINGER building. It ain't safe anymore!

Speaking about cars, Aliza's aunt is selling her 1.6 Satria Neo. It is 8 months old, grey coloured, modified version, going for RM42,000. Help spread the word around =] Anyone interested please leave a message here or call/sms/msn me.

Want to be a reporter? Or know anyone who's interested? Bloomberg is looking for permanent stringers. Which basically means permanent freelance writer/reporter. I heard that they're paying well. If interested, Google them and contact them directly.

Someone finally managed to force me into Facebook. So far, I only know how to poke people and conteng their wall.

Countdown to Penang: 3 days woohoo!

Meaty House

It's been awhile since I blogged. My bad. Want to try good and affordable German pork knuckles? Head to Taipan and there's this shop called Meaty House where they serve only porks. And yeah, it's a non-Halal place.

The pork ribs was good too. Look at the picture below. Don't you feel hungry after looking at it?

Enough of food post. Let's talk about circus. We (Me, Eva, Aya, Ken and Jules) went to circus few weeks back. Well, I never like to go circus simply because I hate clowns. Yeah, and Ronald McDonald too. I don't like their scary looking face. You can guess why I hate them. Cos of the show IT. Bloody hell. Even the circus music gives me goosebumps.

Anyway, The circus we went was quite awesome. The stunts were marvellous. Makes me feel damn kang cheong. There was one part of the circus that makes me feel uneasy which I think it's animal cruelty. I saw chains around the elephant's leg and it had to performed in front of the crowds. I don't find it amusing. <_<

Me and Eva are going to Penang next weekend. *punches air* I can't wait to try the food over there. I gonna blog about Penang once we're back. Super duper excited about it.
