being a mannequin for 5 minutes

Just got back from Freeze KL (the second one) at Sunway Pyramid. Quite a lotta people. We froze at the concourse below Starbucks, at the old wing i.e. outside Royal Sporting House, Women's Secret and Nose. I think the freeze-ers were a bit confused at the beginning, because we didn't all freeze at the same time. And some of us froze, got confused with the time, made some uncertain moves, and froze again. I wanted to drag Liang to Women's Secret and freeze outside their display window, staring at bras and panties (hehehe) but we had to gather round to hear whatever the hitz.fm people were trying to tell us. And then...eh? Time to freeze already? Cheh. So, ended up standing with the crowd. This Liang was balancing on one foot, and he was leaning on me! His whole siu yook-ish self! After the first 2 minutes, he was starting to lose his balance, and ended up pulling me along with him. Crap! I was trying to keep my balance for the remaining 2-3 minutes. Hmph! It wasn't that hard to keep still for 5 minutes. Just relax and zone out. There were kids threading through the crowd, and this kid said, "I'm gonna make them laugh! MUAHAHA!". Evil kid.

Ooh yea, we had our maiden taste of Wendy's for dinner before the freeze. Nice burgers. Nice chips. Had the sour cream and chives baked potato too, which pales in comparison with those from Oliver's Super Sandwiches. Nothing beats Oliver's baked potatoes :) Liang doesn't eat potato skin. It's yummy and it's good for you!

I think I saw a dead hamster at the Pet Lover's Shop in Pyramid (opposite Giant). It was just a bunch of fur stuck to some dead skin, poor hammie :( This one's not as gross as the one I saw at the pet shop in Ikano, though. The dead hammie still looked like a hammie; except the body was torn at certain parts, it was bloody, and there were 3-4 hamsters tugging at it from different sides! *eeps* So disgustingly sad. That's why we shouldn't buy pets from pet shops. They aren't usually all that healthy. Imagine a huge ass village of hamsters living in one little tank. Not very healthy yar? And not to mention, hamsters are pretty territorial (especially females), and don't exactly live well in large groups. That's why they end up tearing each other to bits. And don't even think about keeping more than 1 hamster in 1 cage. It's always best to buy your pets from a breeder, to ensure quality. (I know Kuaci came from a pet shop; but only because I lost touch with the hammie breeder I used to know! >.<) Better yet, have a heart and adopt them! (I dunno about adopting hamsters though...) PAWS is full of love-hungry pets :) They wouldn't mind some form of donations too, seeing how dilapidated their site is. They accept cash, pet food, old newspapers and anything else that might help run the place.

And in no time, it's Monday again. Back to the daily grind.
